Car booting and crafting
Hope you have all had a good week ladies,l love the night,s drawing in and the weather becoming quite Autumnal l have been sitting in my concervatory most evenings doing my crochet with a blanket on my lap as it has been a bit nippy of a nightime. Just thought l would share a bit of sewing and car boot finds the bird were made out of the Sew Sunny homestyle book they are very easy to make. I bought this bird cage from the CB for £3.00 and l forgot to take the before pictures as l was so excited yes l know l am sad, l gave it a fresh coat of paint as it was a dirty blue and at some point it had had a live bird in it as was obviouse from the floor of the bird cage, also this very sweet little lamp which cost me 70p can you believe,it was quite dirty but l gave it a clean and washed the lamp shade and it now looks as good as new and they now both live on my kitchen windowsill.I would like some more of these little lamps as they are quite small only 13 inches high and l can think of loads of places to put them but l don't suppose l will find any more at that price. well thats all for now have a fabulouse weekend ladies hugs Pat

Lovely finds at the car boot, Pat! It's great to transform cheap car boot finds into things that are beautiful & expensive looking!!
I'm trying to finish crocheting a blanket at the moment, when that's done, I have the wool for another!!
Have a lovely weekend : )

Great booty finds, unfortunately I always seem to be at the back of the que when it comes to bargains. Don't know what it's like for you but I tend to go to a boot with an item in mind and invariably come home with a bag of books every time! I must get more disciplined.
best wishes

Lovely little birdies. I have been wanting a lovely old looking bird cage for a while now. I have made some birds myself and thought they might look nice displayed on or in one. really pretty.
Like the lamp too, really pretty.
Have a lovely weekend.

Hi Pat!
Happy belated birthday! Your cake and your grand-daughter's cake were beautiful! You have such a special family! Your quiche looked lovely, too; I'll bet you are a wonderful cook. I also really like your new little lamp and birdcage. There is just nothing like a cute birdcage and you have the PERFECT birds to go in it! We had a bird for awhile and was she ever messy! Then we took my mom's cockatiel and the bird didn't really like us: she SCREAMED all the time so she ended up at the pet shop where she behaved like an angel with the pet shop owner. I guess we aren't bird people! I think I could manage the cute stuffed ones like yours the best!
Have a nice day! I can't find any proper pumpkin colored wool roving for my needle felting post...so I may make a plum (give me a break! a fall plum! not too festive...) for a post in the next week or so.

Pat,
the brown bag is already reserved for someone else. I have got some of the brown fabric left but not enough for a complete bag, the rest of the bag would be in cream fabric, I can make one over the weekend if you like, and yes it would still be a £1

Hi Pat,
I've just re-listed the brown bag (the old version) on etsy, can you pay through there please and then when I've made the bag I'll send you the 'new, improved' design, I can't find an e-mail address for you
thanks
Jo

Hi Pat!
Just coming over to say hello! I hope you are doing well. If you sew any Halloween costumes this year, be sure to let us see. Matthew is going to be a Ninja (costume I made last year) and Ashley Rose is going to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz (costume I made this year.) We just got her some ruby slippers for her outfit (we went to the WEIRDEST CREEPIEST store I've ever been to! But that was where the ruby slippers were..."The Spirit of Halloween" or something like that - Yikes!)
Have a good day!

I'm so glad you like the bag, I didn't think you'd realised who I was!

Morning Pat, How are you? XXXX
Morning....! I have an award for you....XXX
Thank you for dropping by to visit me Pat. I am grateful for your kind words.
I saw an almost exact copy of your table lamp on the Internet priced £37, so you did well my dear. Sew Sunny homestyle book - must look out for that in charity shops; bit pricey to buy new. I want to make those birdies since you said they were easy to do.
Hi Pat!
I am not trying to be a pest, continuously leaving comments on the same post! I just wanted to check in and make sure you were doing well and see what you are working on for Christmas! I've been sort of a dis-engaged blogger here lately, myself. Maybe it is the weather!
