A bag flowers and more

First things first l must say a big thank you to Alex at pink feather paradise and Suzy at Suzys vintage attic for they both gave me a lovely award ,it was very nice of them to think of me ,its the little things that mean the most thank you ladies

What a lovely sunny day it has been here, l hope you have had the same. I was tidying the garden and l thought l would take some pictures outside, the first one is of a bag l made over the weekend, its a pattern l got from the sewing show about two years ago, l had already cut it all out and you know what it's like ladies you put them away and forget about them, well l found it and decided to finish it, l think it has turned out quite nice l am going to make some more but with a few adjustments to it, l put a pocket on the inside but left on the name of the fabric i think it looks quite designerish. I got these two cherubs from a car boot for 50 pence each and when l got home l wasn't too sure if l liked them and hubby said why not put them in the garden, one of his better ideas. I have a few garden ornaments, my sheep an angel, two bird houses in amongst the flowers and three little gnomes and when Jessica comes round she goes and has a little chat with them all, it is so sweet to watch her. Some flower shots while they are at their best, and a few piccys of Beau for Julie at gingerbread as she asked to see some more and here he is in Jessica,s doll, pushchairsin dads slippershaving a snuggle with Digger and finally these are the pictures of my PIF that i sent to the lovely Joanna at Tatty mums blog which can be found on the left hand column oh and can any one tell me where awards come from, can anybody just make one up because there are a couple l would like to do so if any one can help please leave me a message l would be very grateful.

I wish you sunny days and lots of hugs Pat.

Hi Pat,

Your bag is really nice - worth waiting the 2 years for eh!! And your PIF gift is gorgeous - what beautiful stitching. I'm sure your recipient was over the moon with it - well done!

PS. Beau is very cute .... and probably knows it!

Gosh Pat there is so much lovelyness on this post I dont know where to start! lol.

The bag is beautiful, the fabrics so pretty, two years in the making is quite a feat! Your PIF gift is absolutly beautiful, what a lucky lady to received such a beautiful gift. And little kitten is just too cute, I soooo miss having pets about so your piccies are making me animal broody if there is such a thing. Afraid I have no idea on the award front, but I guess they must be made up by someone at somepoint!

Have a lovely rest of the week

Hi Pat,
I love Joannes stitchery... it looks beautiful on her kitchen wall and she is really proud of it...

Those cherubs made me laugh... the one on the left looks a little grumpy!

Beau is beatiful, when I was still living at home we had a black and white tom cat called "Allsorts" he was beautiful... unfortunately not very bright! he had no fear of anything and eventually got hit by a car... but if I could have another I would...

The bag is fantastic, I have a pattern very similar.. as of yet not even cut out... maybe one day...;D

On the awards front... I made one for a lady that was really helpful to me... I decided that making one wouldn't hurt after all who's likely to tell me off? but I have no idea if there is a proper place that they originate from...

take care
Alex

Hello Pat
Lovely bag. What a sweet kitten!!! I love cats, always have. I used to look after strays when I was 11 years old, this made some neighbours complain as I attracted over 20 in the end!!!
If you have a look on my blog, you will see that there is an award waiting there from me.
Take care

What lovely things!!!
The stitchery is fantastic and I really like your bag - it looks so well made and in such nice fabrics too. I particularly like the green floral (I loved it on your quilt too).
Ahhh cute kitty. My 'kitten' is now 13 (and very lazy now) - aren't those 'baby days' so sweet.

I love the bag. I make tote bags but I find as I am getting older I have used all of my patience up (or is it the kids, the hubby, the job thats worn it thin!!). The fabrics you used are beautiful. You mentioned in a previous post that you buy some fabrics in Goldthorpe. Is it a shop or a market stall? Goldthorpes not too far for me to have a trundle to.

Hi Pat!

How are you doing? What a nice day you had over your way! I like your bag; it feels good to finish something like that, doesn't it? I lose interest if it sits too long; but it just nags at me that I haven't finished the project.

Have a nice week!

Thanks for the nice comments about my Tilda rag doll. If you have a read of my 2nd April post, you will see the first doll I made and how she came about - I made the pattern up myself from pictures of the rubber stamp image of the Tilda character. It's been very rewarding as I've received so many lovely comments about the dolls:0)

Hi Pat,

Thanks for your lovely encouraging words.

A picture tutorial on quilts would be fantastic. I have this idea of making some for my two girls for christmas prezzies this year (yeah I know we are only in May and I have uttered the C word) but I love the idea of them having something homemade and with love (and hopefully patience!) rather than the same old plastic fantastic stuff they normally have then proceed to forget about.

Take care.

Hi Pat!!
I received my package from you and I just wanted to tell you how very sweet of you!!! I can't even begin to tell you how thrilled I was when I opened it, it is the prettiest tea bag holder and that spoon is sooooooooooo pretty!! I am totally in love with it and so honored that you thought of me and sent me such a perfectly sweet gift! And a tea bag holder, I am so smitten with those and let me tell you I have never ever seen one around here, guess Texans aren't the biggest hot tea drinkers around. ;) I am even keeping the wrapper that you wrapped it in. Do you mind if I post a blog showing it off? I just can't express enough how sweet and thoughtful that was of you and how thrilled I am!!! Thank you so much!!
Hugs ♥ Teresa

Hello Pat. Sorry you missed my giveaway. The winner is in the UK too so I'll check how much it costs to send it. Maybe we could just have a little swap together.
